𝖬𝗈𝗋𝖾 𝖳𝗁𝖺𝗇 𝖺 𝖶𝖾𝖾𝗄: 𝖠 𝖢𝗈𝗆𝗆𝗎𝗇𝗂𝗍𝗒 𝖣𝗋𝖺𝗐𝗇 𝖣𝖾𝖾𝗉𝖾𝗋 𝗂𝗇𝗍𝗈 𝖢𝗁𝗋𝗂𝗌𝗍

There are moments in the academic calendar that become more than just scheduled activities—they become milestones of spiritual transformation. Such was the experience of the Central Philippine Nazarene College (CPNC) community during this year's Spiritual Deepening Week, where students, faculty, and staff were invited to move beyond routine worship into a renewed commitment to knowing Christ, living His Word, and making disciples.

Each day carried a unique emphasis, yet together they formed a single journey: listening to God, walking with others, and worshiping Him wholeheartedly.

The week began with a chapel service centered on Lectio Divina, led by Rev. Evan Rey Macasa, where the community reflected on James 1:19–27. Through Scripture reading, meditation, prayer, and silence, participants were reminded that faith is not only about hearing God’s Word but living it through daily actions and obedience.

The following day, the Big and Small Orientation renewed the commitment of students to intentional discipleship. Organized by the Center of Evangelism (COE) Ward, the gathering emphasized that the Big and Small Covenant is more than friendship—it is a spiritual partnership built on prayer, Scripture, accountability, service, and mutual growth. Rev. Macasa and Pastor Leo Mahanlud encouraged students to embrace their roles as mentors and disciples who help one another become more like Christ.

The week concluded with a joyful spontaneous worship service inspired by Psalm 100:1–2, where students, faculty, and staff gathered in praise and thanksgiving. Led by student worship leaders Sophia Antonet Salipot, Jared J. Basa, and Rachelle Ann Gulfo, with exhortations from Rev. Macasa and Pastor Mahanlud, the chapel became a place of renewed dedication and celebration of God’s presence.

Through Scripture, discipleship, and worship, the Spiritual Deepening Week reminded CPNC community that spiritual growth extends beyond chapel gatherings. It is a daily commitment to follow Christ, encourage one another, and live out God’s Word with faithfulness and joy.
